When you discuss with the Funeral Director, you may talk about the following details and to some extent they will have a helpful input. The main thing we need to arrange is what the item is, how long the piece/gesture/show will take and when it will happen :

Music - there is a huge amount of material on sites like Spotify. All local crematoriums have good facilities for playing quality music. I can give some advice, but it depends very much on the preferences of the loved one and the family circumstances.

Symbolic gestures - such as lighting of candles or bringing objects to the coffin. Funeral Director will be very helpful here.

Video or photo slideshow - all local crematoriums have excellent facilities. Funeral Director will help here if you do not want to do this yourself.

Suitable readings - a lot of material online, but much of it is duplicated. Try to think of something that has relevance to the person. I have some suggestions in the sections below.

Poetry

These are suitable for shorter readings and for people who may prefer a non-religious focus

Spiritual Readings

These are suitable for people who have some sense of spirituality but do not subscribe to any group or doctrine.

Spiritual Prayers

These are suitable for people who have a faith in some divine presence and want to have this expressed n the service.
